 Words of Wisdom

When you think about success in business, sports, music, ministry and many aspects of life, one cannot help but notice that it’s not necessarily the most talented that make the most money or that have the most impact. It is those who have both talent and opportunity! I have heard some great singers who are yet to have a “break” into the “big leagues” in music. If you visit the developing countries you will meet some amazing people with amazing talent who have not yet  gotten the type of exposure that those in USA or Canada have.

Nevertheless, I have also noticed that regardless of the level of exposure, what really makes the difference is being ready at the time of opportunity! It takes a level of consistency to be ready for your opportunity! If you are not doing what it takes to become a success, you will miss your opportunity! When that person who will connect you to the bigger stuff comes around will you be ready? Would you have learned all that you need to learn? Would you have the strength or skill to handle something much bigger? It’s important, to keep increasing in wisdom, keep learning, keep writing those quality articles, keep showing up in the marketplace every week and be ready when your opportunity comes! It’s coming! Enjoy the process of growth and take every opportunity for growth!

 Take Action

If there is any goals that you have abandoned, if there are good habits that you have left untouched for a season, if you were getting discouraged about any of your projects, why don’t you get back into it today! Remember you need to be ready for your opportunity!

    Hi Ade,

I really like your point about consistency as I see time and time again that is how many people achieve and have there lucky break. Also action is very important as the more we are practice the better our skills become and that again offers us more opportunity’s

    Ade,
I have often jumped at an oppportunity. The time felt right. I did what I felt I needed to do at the time, but the success has often been limited. Maybe it was just a step I needed to take toward my final goal. But that readiness to just do it, even if it doesn’t pan out exactly as planned, can keep us headed toward success. Many successful people have had failures, delays and obstacles but they kept on going, continued to take action, and eventually saw the fruits of their labor.

    Warmly,

    Dr. Erica
